Research interest

My research interest lies at the span of high-dimensional probability and statistics, machine learning, and optimization. In particular, I mainly work on the following topics:

  • Statistical learning under distribution shifts: offline reinforcement learning, off-policy evaluation, and distributionally robust optimization.

  • Optimization for machine learning: online learning algorithms, minimax optimization, and game dynamics.

  • Sampling algorithms and theoretical foundations of diffusion models.
